INTERNATIONAL SCHOLAR TOURS LLC is pleased to offer an extraordinary 7-day, 6-night academic-travel experience in Ireland, one of Europe’s most culturally rich countries, home to James Joyce, W.B. Yeats, Oscar Wilde, Samuel Beckett and George Bernard Shaw, as well as Liam Neeson, Pierce Brosnan, Enya, Sinead O’Connor and U-2, great live traditional music, lush green scenery, lively folklore, Leprechauns, Banshees, ancient castles and world-famous wit and friendliness.
- Four days in Dublin with a daytrip to County Wicklow.
- Three days in Galway City and the surrounding area, with visits to the Cliffs of Moher and the Burren with its ancient ruins and megalithic structures
- Faculty-led walking tours taking in Dublin sights like Trinity College Dublin (and the ancient Book of Kells), the Temple Bar neighborhood, Dublin Castle, Christ Church and St. Patrick’s Cathedral
- A performance at the Dublin Theatre Festival which will be held the week we are there

Homeschooled students can have unique opportunities to explore and experience the world, without the usual limitations of school calendars and rigid curricula, and our mission is to afford them those opportunities at a reasonable price.
By engaging local faculty and designing trips that have onsite lectures and other educational dimensions, student travel can be combined with academics to create exceptional educational experiences that are enduring and profound.

International Scholar Tours - Leadership
The founder and tour organizer-leader of International Scholar Tours is Peter Gross, who created the company to combine two of his greatest loves: quality education and authentic travel. He is an experienced educator and enthusiastic world traveler who has visited over sixty countries. He has an extensive background as a leader of international nonprofit organizations, having served as a long-time board chair of Plan International USA, a nonprofit that works to improve the opportunities for children and women in the world’s most disadvantaged countries, and he has also been a board member of many other organizations, including two professional theaters, a symphony orchestra and numerous organizations that support children’s health and welfare.
